This research is developmental in terms of its purpose and qualitative and descriptive in terms of approach, and the method of data collection is library and field.
The statistical community includes Iranian hand-woven carpets available after the Safavid period until the present era, in which Persian poems are woven, and the number of samples includes about 30 carpets in private collections and museums.
The findings show that after Islam and the spread of Shiism in the Safavid era, poems were also woven into the carpet as a part of the design and pattern of the carpet, sometimes by great poets and sometimes by ordinary people and anonymous poets.Meanwhile, from the Safavid period onwards, poets' attention to the poetic forms of ghazal and masnavi increased, and such verses were woven into carpets with related images
