fa بررسی تاریخ و جامعه‌شناسی فرش ایرانی، از هویت ملی تا تأثیرات اجتماعی A study of the history and sociology of Iranian carpets, from national identity to social impacts جامعه شناسی فرش علمي- ترويجي case report فرش ایرانی یکی از برجسته‌ترین نمادهای فرهنگی، تاریخی و اقتصادی ایران است، و جایگاه ویژه‌ای در تاریخ و هویت ملی این کشور دارد. این هنر بی‌بدیل، با ریشه‌هایی عمیق در فرهنگ و تاریخ ایران، نه تنها به‌عنوان یک کالای هنری و کاربردی، بلکه به‌عنوان بخشی از زندگی روزمره‌ی مردم و نمادی از هویت ملی، در میان فرهنگ‌های مختلف شناخته شده است. سؤال پژوهشی این مقاله این است: «چگونه فرش ایرانی توانسته است به‌عنوان یک هنر و کالای فرهنگی، همزمان هویت ملی، ارزش های اجتماعی و تأثیرات اقتصادی را در جوامع ایران شکل دهد؟» این مقاله با رویکرد میان رشته‌ای به بررسی تاریخچه‌ی فرش ایرانی، از فرش پازیریک به‌عنوان کهن‌ترین نمونه‌ی موجود، تا شکوفایی هنر فرش‌بافی در دوران صفویه و تأثیر آن بر اقتصاد و تعاملات فرهنگی ایران در دوران معاصر پرداخته است .در بخش جامعه‌شناختی، مقاله به تحلیل نقش فرش در بازتاب باورها، ارزش‌ها و نمادهای فرهنگی جامعه ایرانی می‌پردازد. طرح‌های فرش ایرانی، مانند بته‌جقه، گل شاه‌عباسی و اسلیمی، بازتاب‌دهنده‌ی مضامین مذهبی، اسطوره‌ای و طبیعی هستند که نمایانگر نگاه عمیق ایرانیان به طبیعت، فرهنگ و تاریخ است. در جوامع سنتی، فرش نه تنها به‌عنوان یکی از اقلام ضروری در زندگی روزمره شناخته می‌شد، بلکه معیاری برای سنجش منزلت اجتماعی، اقتصادی و فرهنگی خانواده‌ها بود. از منظر اقتصادی، فرش ایرانی به‌عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین کالاهای صادراتی، نقش به‌سزایی در ارزآوری و ایجاد فرصت‌های شغلی به‌ویژه در مناطق روستایی داشته است. صنعت فرش‌بافی با تمرکز بر کارگاه‌های خانگی، به توانمندسازی زنان و انتقال مهارت‌های نسلی کمک کرده و به حفظ و پایداری جوامع محلی انجامیده است. با این حال، این صنعت در سال‌های اخیر با چالش‌هایی از جمله رقابت با محصولات ارزان‌قیمت، تغییر الگوهای مصرف جهانی و کاهش حمایت‌های دولتی مواجه شده است. نتایج این مقاله نشان می‌دهد که فرش ایرانی، فراتر از یک اثر هنری یا کالای تجاری، میراثی فرهنگی است که نقش مهمی در شکل‌گیری و تثبیت هویت ایرانی ایفا کرده است. تأکید بر ارزش‌های تاریخی و اجتماعی این هنر، در کنار حمایت از صنعت فرش‌بافی، می‌تواند به حفظ و ترویج آن در سطح ملی و بین‌المللی کمک کند. این پژوهش، ضرورت بازنگری در سیاست‌های حمایتی و معرفی بهتر فرش ایرانی به بازارهای جهانی را یادآور می‌شود.   The Persian carpet is one of the most prominent cultural, historical, and economic symbols of Iran, holding a distinguished position in the country's history and national identity. This unparalleled art form, with deep roots in Iranian culture and history, is recognized not only as an artistic and functional commodity but also as an integral part of everyday life and a symbol of national identity across various cultures. The central research question of this article is: “How has the Persian carpet been able to simultaneously shape national identity, social values, and economic impacts within Iranian society as both an art form and a cultural commodity?” Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, this article examines the historical development of the Persian carpet, from the Pazyryk carpet as the oldest known example to the flourishing of carpet weaving during the Safavid era, and its influence on Iran’s economy and cultural interactions in the contemporary period. From a sociological perspective, the study analyzes the role of carpets in reflecting the beliefs, values, and cultural symbols of Iranian society. Persian carpet motifs, such as boteh jegheh, Shah Abbasi floral designs, and arabesque (eslimi) patterns, embody religious, mythological, and natural themes that reveal the profound Iranian worldview toward nature, culture, and history. In traditional societies, carpets were not only regarded as essential household items but also served as indicators of families’ social, economic, and cultural status. From an economic standpoint, the Persian carpet has been one of Iran’s most significant export commodities, playing a crucial role in foreign exchange earnings and job creation, particularly in rural areas. The carpet-weaving industry, largely centered on home-based workshops, has contributed to the empowerment of women and the intergenerational transmission of skills, thereby supporting the sustainability of local communities. However, in recent years, this industry has faced several challenges, including competition from low-cost products, shifts in global consumption patterns, and reduced governmental support. The findings of this study indicate that the Persian carpet, beyond being an artwork or a commercial product, is a cultural heritage that has played a vital role in shaping and consolidating Iranian identity. Emphasizing the historical and social values of this art, alongside supporting the carpet-weaving industry, can contribute to its preservation and promotion at both national and international levels.
